You got them questions, I got them answers! Here are some of the most commonly asked questions that I get over + over through emails. Go ahead and read through and if there's anything else you're wondering feel free to ask away! The only dumb questions are the ones you don't ask. ;)

 
 

How do we book you for our wedding?

Booking me is easy! After you fill out a contact form (so I can get all the info I need + get to know you two a little bit) you sign a contract and pay a 30% retainer. Then I'm officially yours!


How many images will we get?

This depends on a few things but you will get at the very minimum 50 photos per hour. I usually always deliver more than the bare minimum because I'm constantly shooting throughout the day. You'll get every photo I take that isn't a test shot, out of focus, or has a blinking human! For engagement sessions you'll get a minimum of 50 photos.


should we add on a second shooter?

This really is just a preference thing! Since I deliver every photo that is usable, having a second shooter means that you'll get more photos in your wedding gallery simply because more photos are being taken! Sometimes you'll even get the same exact moment from two different angles which is always fun. Second shooters are also a great option when you're having enough people at your wedding to make up a village!


When will we get our photos?

For weddings you'll be able to drool over your photos within 8 weeks of your wedding day! Engagement sessions will be delivered within 3 weeks. 


Help! We're awkward in front of the camera.

DON'T WORRY ABOUT THIS AT ALL! I will direct you and talk you through the whole time. I have tons of prompts up my sleeve so that you'll look natural and just as hot in photos as you do in person ;). I photograph people who are camera shy all the time. I'll do just about anything to make you laugh and even have some fun. I can also bring you a good ol' fashioned shot or two of your favorite whiskey (or vodka, or tequila, or rum, or _______) if you think that will help calm your nerves and loosen you up! You just say the word, I mean it!


Weddings really add up. Do you offer payment plans?

I sure do! 30% is still required to reserve your date but after that the remaining payment can be split up. I know wedding photography is a big investment and I'm 100% willing to make a payment plan that works for you!


What are your travel fees?

Travel fees vary depending on how far the wedding is from me (Santa Cruz, CA). I calculate California wedding travel and give an estimated travel cost to you prior to booking. Out-of-State and destination weddings have a flat travel fee added onto the package cost. I've found flat travel fees for outside of California turn out the be the easiest and most hassle-free option for both me and you!


Both before and after you book, email is the best way to get a hold of me! I'm one of those people that reads text messages and answers them in my head but not in real life. I basically suck at texting back. But email on the other hand I'm much more speedy at! I try and answer all emails within 12 hours when I am not traveling or at a wedding.
